Start with discovery, not a perfect build
Sephiria is a top-down action roguelite built around repeated descents through a changing tower. Your first objective is not to force a finished build. Use the opening runs to learn the pace of combat, see how each weapon feels, and recognise the artifacts that change your options.
Learn one weapon at a time
The current version includes six weapon types and more than fifty upgrade paths. Pick one weapon for a run and pay attention to its reach, timing, and safe distance. A focused run teaches more than switching plans every time a new option appears.
This guide deliberately avoids fixed damage values until they have been verified in-game for Version 1.0.
Treat artifacts as relationships
An artifact matters because of what it changes in the rest of your setup. Before taking one, ask three questions:
- Does it support the weapon you are already using?
- Does it improve a strength or cover a weakness?
- Can you explain what must happen for its effect to matter?
Coordinate before a co-op descent
Online co-op supports up to four players. Before entering the tower, agree on what each player wants to test and call out discoveries instead of silently competing for a single plan. A shared run is most useful when everyone knows what the group is trying to learn.
What to record after the run
- The weapon and upgrade path you used.
- The artifacts that noticeably changed the run.
- The point where the setup began to feel reliable.
- Any interaction that still needs a second test.
The next version of this guide will add verified opening priorities after the Version 1.0 checks are complete.
